Honey, Honeybees & the importance of flowers and trees
Hi Everyone --
Hope everyone is doing OK and staying safe.
In this blog, I am going to share little bit about Honey and Honeybees from my experience. Also, the importance of trees and flowers.
Please see below picture: Both are honey!.
Have you ever noticed the thickness and color difference in Honey? We always buy from brands like: lion honey, dabur honey etc. Do you ever think, what is behind the brand honey?. Where do they procure and how do they procure? Is it pure natural?..... mmm.... You may or may not have answers...
In my farm, we used to have one person visiting and setting up beehive wooden boxes. He used to setup the boxes in many places i.e. under the big trees; he will leave the farm for few weeks and then come back to collect honey. Whenever he collects honey from those boxes, he used to give us one or two liter from that directly. The taste, so yummmy..... After this, I never tasted honey from branded or processed one. Couple of years ago, someone entered the farm and burnt all those boxes. :(. Hence, now a days, we are not allowing anyone to setup yet. But, I am yet to explore further...
I have always noticed the thickness of honey and taste of honey varies from season to season or from place to place. You will not believe that, until you see that or taste that. What is the secret behind that?. It is all about the source of flowers. i.e. from which flowers?
In below picture, the left one is purely collected from Neem Tree Flowers and right one is from Drumstick Tree Flowers. i.e. Beehive box is setup around neem trees and drumstick trees. Honey is taken from those boxes directly, filtered and then packed.
Neem Tree Flower Honey:
This is very thick and taste is little strong in sweet. Please see Neem tree flowers in below video. They are also very strong and thick.
Drumstick Tree Flower Honey:
Drumstick flower honey is very thin and very sweet. Please see the flowers below. It is very thin.
Honey health benefits:
Honey has so much health benefits. Every day morning with empty stomach, have a glass of warm water mixed with one spoon of honey. This will make your day and your life better. It has so much anti-oxidants, helps to solve digestion issues and you will be out of "coffee addiction" too.
What is the moral:
Is it honeybee magic or flower magic?. What makes honey like this?. Worth thinking and asking around.
Next time, whenever you buy honey, please think about "source of honey".
Honeybee collects honey from flowers. We need more flowers. If we need more flowers, we need more trees. :).. Trees produce more flowers. Small plants are OK, but trees are important to produce more flowers.
Plant trees and support them. It takes 10+ years for a Neem tree to give much flowers. They produce more oxygen too.
Have honey every day by supporting honeybees and grow trees... Both give patience to you personally, make you mentally stronger, life better and make our society healthy. :)
OK, everyone... take care.. we will catch up in the next one.
Nice.
