Australia - a visitor experience...
My dear social friends, brothers and sisters ...
Vanakkam, Namaste.
Recently I had an opportunity to visit Australia. This was my first visit to Australia. In this blog, I am going to share my experience as a fist time visitor to this country.
First of all – It is really one of the biggest countries in terms of land. It is definitely bigger than India (double size... :) Would you believe ??) …. India is: 3.2 million sq.km and Australia is: 7.7 million sq.km.
Australia has three time zones: Western Australia, Central and Eastern Australia. India has only one time zone.
I landed in Western side of Australia, which is Perth. An amazing city, quiet city and well planned one. I remembered the famous cricket ground “Perth”, though I could not get time to visit that. It is called “city of lights”, because it was one of the first cities in the world to be illuminated by electric lights. Also, it has longest sunshine too. An amazing city of nature with enough rivers.
I visited few universities here in perth. Unbelievable infrastructure.
Second – I visited Melbourne. An unbelievable city. I would call this as city of sports or sports capital of world. I follow tennis and I used to actively play/follow cricket in the past.
I remember one of my favorites song “Melbourne மலர் போல் à®®ெல்லிய மகளா”… i.e. you are so beautiful as Melbourne flowers… This city is known for “four seasons in one day”, great architectures, paintings on streets etc.
I took sometime to visit two stadiums: 1. Melbourne Cricket Stadium and 2. Australian Open Tennis Stadium. This city is well planned and definitely a sports city of world. I visited MCG, and I could not believe the architecture and capacity behind that. Kudos to the teams behind that.
I have seen these stadiums in TV so many times. It was a dream come true for me, to see these in-person. I thank the ALMIGHTY for this wonderful opportunity. I wish our famous cricketers help bringing such stadiums to India…
Apart from sports, In Melbourne, we have many Indian restaurants. I visited south Indian restaurant: Saravana Bhavan and also a very good north Indian restaurant, Delhi Rocks.
Third, I visited Sydney. OMG!. Unbelievable again. Never imagined the beauty of opera house, Harbour Bridge, and beauty around that area. It was like, eyes were doing classical dancing... A clean and beaches city…. Don’t miss the ferry trips…
Spent sometime with my old-colleagues as well. It was a good catch up.
Yes, I recommend everyone visiting this beautiful country, and I also recommend whoever visited the country do something similar to your home country, build similar cities…
Mother earth, dad sky, siblings: air and water are nature’s gift to every human in this world.
Let us protect our nature and nurture the nature…
See you all in the next blog....
