Spiritual Life @ America - Last one year....
My dear social friends, brothers and sisters ...
Vanakkam, Namaste and good day!...
This is yet another different type of blog... Just sharing my spiritual experience here in USA.
My iPhone was giving many reminders to upgrade, though I was rescheduling again and again.. Finally, it was a forced day for me, and I had no other choice. Yes, I had to upgrade, but you know what, I had to restart and reset couple times to adjust, YES, it worked seamlessly after that.... APPLE is smart, no doubts on that. This is common these days, isnt it ?.. just a reset and restart, which I delayed.
After the upgrade, I am seeing lot of new features and cool stuff... But, the journey was postponed by me.. Isn't it?.
In Journey of LIFE, we do the same. Most of the times we have to upgrade ourselves, or we will be forced. In every upgrade, we have to go through a RESET. What is that?
But, if you know what "resets" you every week or every month, it gives a different boost in your life and experience... It releases all types of stress from work and gives a different perspective, "humanity".
OK.... Now coming to the point, yes, "pilgrimage" is a type of resetting point in life, which I felt. It could be your favorite spiritual places. i.e. a temple, church or mosque etc..
This blog is about my last few months of living experience here in USA.... This is about spiritual life... This gave me a good reset point every week..
Special thanks and HATS OFF to all the spiritual people here. Below picture is from one of the famous temples at Fremont: SVCC, which is less than 10 years old. This temple is a typical south Indian temple.
The interesting fact is that, fresh jasmine flowers, fruits, banana leaf, and other important pooja items do come from India every day. :). Could you believe that?
Moving to the next important and famous temple: Shiva Vishnu Temple:
I still remember the old days (10 years ago), where we go to "liver more - Shiva Vishnu Temple" only. Below picture is from Liver more temple.
This temple is very big now and I see huge number of devotees here, which means spiritual spirit is increasing here. :). Also, temple premise and properties have increased more than double, which shows the growth of the trust. Isn't it ? :) - It is all about growth everywhere...
During my last visit, I saw good number of Prasadam options. i.e. like Tirupathi laddu. :) and very busy darshan queue. Yes, we were in the queue for both darshan and prasadam.
I am sure, we will hit Tirupathi queue one day here...
Compared to Liver more, SVCC Fremont temple is not that crowded. I visit very often here. I hear lively divine mantras here and it resets a lot, and it grounds me.
This year, I attended "Lord Ayyappan Pooja festival" here. I was totally stunned and the way we do poojas here. I felt like I am not missing anything that I used to see in India. The poojas, rituals are way high quality and the poojas are intense with full heart.
Here is the video from one of the days.
Another big temple in Fremont is, Fremont Hindu Temple. This is another big temple and always busy. It is a north Indian temple, and we always see good amount of north Indian devotees.
In this temple, I was totally stunned by Dussehra pooja festival / Navarathiri celebrations. Every day was a busy day with different types of cultural events and musical events.
Here is one such video, on one of the 10 days.
During Navarathiri, I would recommend you visiting here for sure. Darshan queue was really really big, and wait time was really high.
But, we will see high energy, traditional events and cultural spirit here, which is "uniting everyone and bringing more humanity".
I just mentioned about three temples here, and there are few more. :).... You will clearly see the spiritual life here.
For example: If you visit during any of the auspicious days, I am sure you will wait in long darshan queue. I experienced the same on few occasions.
Apart from the auspicious days, I do see good number of devotees on pradosam and ekadasi days. The abhishekams are real and you will be stunned.
Along with Abhishekams, the devotees are very much into that. You will hear mantrams and slogans which you would have never heard in India.
Sometimes I feel that, here poojas are done with real intent and they want to do it. It is not namesake. It is intense and from heart. - This is a big difference, and this clearly shows the spiritual life. I felt the similarity: Do it with heart and good intentions.
In summary, I am very happy to see the surge in spiritual life, which is good for humanity. The poojas are real with heartfelt intentions. If you have time, please sit through any of the pradosam days and watch out the abhishekam. You will feel the spirit, energy and positivity.
RESET gives energy, positivity and spirit. Hope, everyone can find their RESET points.
OK, everyone. Hope you enjoy reading these and thinking about visiting one of these temples or churches or mosques.. :)
We will catch up in the next blog and take care!
Bye, Nandri.
Great way to realize ones self is spirituality. Become self aware and identify your purpose here on earth. If you think there is no purpose you may define your own purpose. :)
