Drumstick season....
My dear social friends, brothers and sisters ...
I trust everyone is doing well.. This blog is about latest updates on Drumstick season from my farm.
I am continuing from my previous blog update about "drumstick vegetable". This month, I visited my farm and spent sometime there.
I do have around 500 trees and still trying to make it to 1000 in couple years. :)
Usually we get good yielding around summer time around Southern India. In July, August and September the temperature is consistently around 90+.
You could see from below picture the number of drumstick vegetables from one tree.
You could see from below picture the number of flowers, white in color, from one tree.
Our soil is RED soil and you could see the plantation from below pictures. We give enough spaces between trees so that it could grow.
Trees are watered through drip irrigation ways these days. These trees take little water only.
They survived last year drought in our area.
So far, it is good. This is an iron rich vegetable, and it has lots of
health benefits too. It is a very famous south indian vegetable. :)
Families do make curries (Sambar, various spicy ones too) with this vegetable or make side dishes (Aviyal, Poriyal etc) too.
OK friends. Hope, you enjoyed reading this and seeing some green drumstick pictures from farm.
Farming gives happiness, farming rejuvenates you. Farming gives patience and healthy life...
OK, everyone. Thanks for reading. Thank you, Take care.
