Japan Trip - a visitor experience...
Vanakkam, Namaste. Good day!.
I trust everyone is doing well.. Life in USA is getting busier and busier, which is good. Helping customers, partners and colleagues wherever possible, and making a positive impact in our eco-system.
OK, this blog is about a visitor experience in Japan. I will share my experience as a first-time visitor to this country.
Recently I had an opportunity to visit Japan. This was my first visit to Japan. I have studied a lot about Japan, use Japanese cars, toys etc. Of course, everyone would have.. :) ... In this blog, I am going to share what I experienced in this country.
First of all, special THANKS to my colleagues, Mina-san, Miyagawa-san, Asuka-san, who took care of our team really well. Kudos to them, and thankful for ever. GOD bless them.
OK.
I decided to take Japan Airlines (JAL) from USA to experience, rather than United. It was definitely worth experiencing JAL, starting from culture, cleanliness and hospitality. The bird "Crane", means happiness and supposed to bring good fortune, peace and freedom. I would highly recommend JAL to everyone, and it was definitely different experience, compared to United.
JAL CEO's message was inspiring. Moreover, the journey to CEO role was amazing. i.e. from a cabin attendant(1985) to CEO.
Starting from immigration:
Landed in Tokyo, it was very easy and smooth immigration. Came out of Tokyo
airport, and the gentle breeze, sparkling stars, majestic moon (yes, looked at the sky) did welcome me. Took a taxi
from airport to hotel as per my colleagues’ recommendation. Totally shocked to
see the cleanliness and humbleness of the taxi and driver. Highly
professionals, helped in all possible ways and "no-tips". All set in the hotel
for first day. After tipping Uber always in USA, felt a difference for sure.
Tokyo Tower: Impressed to know the history. Walked around the tower, and clicked few pics. City is stunning… Sharing few pics below..
Why don’t we have similar stuff in India?. If we have enough steels and architects, why not? I will keep this topic, for my conversation with Ambani’s or Adhani’s family, when we meet next time.. lol…
Took a walk around Tokyo tower when it was powered up with dancing lights. Very vibrant, efficient lift services to the top of tower, and well-managed crowd. It was a light drizzle, nice breeze and amazing view of Tokyo. While walking around the tower, came to know about an ancient Buddha temple, which is very close by, and decided to go there.
Buddha temple: Visited the ancient buddha temple. Such a beautiful architecture. Spent some time there, experienced quietness, heard heart beats, felt the breath, blessed with darshan as well.
Next stop at Osaka, Japan’s another busiest city. Our colleagues welcomed us and that was a surprise, and an example of hospitality.
Japan Railways: Took a high-speed bullet train from Osaka to Tokyo. Felt like a kid here, since it was my first time in a high-speed train. Heard a lot about bullet trains, but experienced now. Yes, it is about “perfection” and “quality”. Neither you miss a minute nor mess up with anything – it was a true perfection and finish. I also took few other trains, experienced perfection, quality and quietness everywhere. Please see few pics and you will see my blushing face... lol..
In India, we are just starting our "first bullet train journey", but Japan is completing 30 years of anniversary. Why it is not possible in India? I understand the volume, but we are very slow. IRCTC, politics and government officials...mmmm!
Automobile Industry: Unbelievable here. Toyota, Honda, Suzuki... Jogging memories around "Maruti Suzuki" and "TVS Suzuki"... Do you know, Toyota is a city name in Japan, where their head-office is located... We own a suzuki car in India, but now I understand the roots. :)
A new mini van is being launched now...
City is highly populated. My
colleague and we started chatting about the city. Population is 25M. Oh,
really?. Do you know, Delhi city population? 30M..... In the above pic,
definitely I could see thick population, still it is highly maintained for the
population level.
I should definitely talk about the food. Japan food is great. We were introduced to various dishes by our colleagues. Can’t forget the moments at Osaka restaurants, I need a separate blog.. Kudos to the Chefs, and stomach was full and safe. We were taken care by our colleagues really well for every food.
Spent some time with my batch mate, who is in Japan for two decades and speaks Japanese. :).. He took me to an Indian restaurant. Yes, it was good. He also shared lots of stories, culture and work style. Good catch up with him after two decades. Got to know about the history more, nature more and Japanese background… Amazing natural views and cultural background here… Nature is definitely best here too. Mother nature, treats everyone at same level... :)
Thanks to almighty for blessing me with this visit. It was all about, quality, quietness, professional and perfection!... I could see the hard work, from 1947 to till now... Trust plays an important role.
Yes, I recommend everyone visiting this beautiful country, and I also recommend whoever visited the country do something similar to your home country, build similar hard and smart working force…
Mother earth, Daddy sky, siblings: air and water are nature’s gift to every human in this world. Love nature, and spread humanity....
See you all in the next blog.... Take care...
