South Indian Filter Coffee.... Yet another great teamwork this year, with high efficiency and quality
My dear social friends, brothers and sisters ...
We stared our day around 4.00 am in the morning. A day before, we did setup the kitchen and verified all the basic stuff..
Since we took logistics also this year, we did a hand-shake with all the stake holders a day before. We made sure that we introduced to each-other, role to play and exchanged contact numbers.
It is really important to do "dry-runs" before any big show or events. You could see the below setup...
At 4.30 am, our team started the work, team in action, and high energy... :).. First batch was ready and it was very easy this year, since we did twice last year. Of course, experience played a role.
At 5.30 am, our team delivered the first batch coffee/tea at registration desk. I could see huge crowd gathered there, could not believe.. Early morning, folks were ready for walk!... This shows how folks are giving importance to healthy life and culture.
Some pics from early morning desk.. Everyone was given a wrist-band.
At 6.30 am, we delivered to breakfast desk. It was very well managed there. We made few trips till 8.30 am to fulfill the needs here.
Temple had a separate lead (Anu madam) to manage breakfast location itself. It was really crowded and she did manage very well there.
We delivered our coffee/tea as per our plans, however demand was high and we had to deliver few extra cambros there. Our team was very flexible, adjusted to the extra demands and delivered. Some snaps from breakfast location.
I should definitely say hats-off to Anu madam. Their team did an excellent job there. She was co calm and composed.
Our coffee team was constantly busy till noon and we fulfilled all the deliveries till lunch station. Lunch station was very well setup as well.
At 2.00 pm we started delivering to snacks station, and everything worked out as per plans... Finally, we delivered to temple premise stations as per plans till 4.30 pm.
This year was an easy year for us, since our team is experienced and our coffee leads have more trust on us. :).. It was a busy day from 4.00 am to 6.00 pm.
BTW, if you are wondering, why did we make 15K coffee, it was for recent “Concord Shiva Murugan temple”. Our team made coffee/tea for all the 21 mile walkers... Our coffee was served throughout the day on 24-Jan-2026 for all the devotees. We were blessed to serve Lord Muruga’s devotees.

Special thanks to Concord board members for this opportunity, our energetic volunteering team and greatest leads for making this memorable moment in life..
Morale of this blog:
1. Everything is possible in the world, with a correct team, positive attitude, and passionate, energetic team lead...
2. Volunteers do not just do the work, they make it work... Alone we can do a little,, together as team we can do so much...
3. Volunteering is fun, resets you, and you will learn many things, if you go with good intention. :)
4. Experience brings more efficiency, consistency and quality... Once achieved, look for extra responsibilities toward growth..
Though we were all volunteers, everyone gave their "full commitment", due to which we were consistent and maintained high quality... It is truly important in life to be more committed and be consistent... It helps in relationship and respect.
If you need more details about this event, how we accomplished this, please reach out me. I have the cookbook and document.
