Mission Peak, Fremont, CA - a weekend hiking... Completed 50+ hikes...
My dear social friends, brothers and sisters ...
From the peak, you get a very nice view. if you are lucky, you will see clouds and you will be above the clouds. Please see below pictures. Cloud 9 kya ??
During winter, you will love the scenic views throughout the hike. It is lush green, nice breeze and awesome views... It is a treat for your eyes and body.
OK, how did i start?... This is our hiking group (below). We have a team of around 30 people, across various professions and various age groups.
My mentor, Mr. Sri, introduced myself and Mr.Rajan to his big group of hiking friends, who have been hiking for two decades. Two decades!.. can you believe that? Yes, they have been hiking for two decades, very disciplined and very caring and with common goal!.
Thanks to Sri, for your introductions, and all the help. You turned around my life in different ways.. I owe a lot to you, but karma will take care. :)
Our team picture below!.. We start at 6.30 am every Saturday morning and come back around 10 am. Once we reach the peak, we get a hot south Indian filter coffee. :) - Can you believe that?. Yes, that is the tradition. This attracted me to go there on every weekend. :) . We have a singer too. Mr. Ganapathi, who sings there and I luv his songs. I wonder, how he remembers all the lyrics and finest tamil words...
Our group has matured, talented, inspiring and rich folks, "healthy" folks above 60+ years of old. I learn a lot from them. Healthy life is wealthy life...
Can you imagine your life at the age of 70+?. Would you be able to hike for 4 hours?. mmm! I am bit aggressive at work, disciplined, focused on execution, product feature deliverables, innovations and customer first mind set oriented. During weekends, when I meet my hiking friends, I become very calm, quiet and learn a lot from them. This started giving a balance and gave a reset that I was looking for. Listening is key...
Sometimes we start with small group, catch up the big group at the peak....
Sometimes you will be walking with clouds all the way....
I should definitely call out my bro, Mr. Rajan. Learnt a lot from him, he taught me US lifestyle, lessons and dos/donts. We started hiking together in Redwood city area, Belmont area and then decided to go to Fremont Mission peak. It was really fun early days. I own him a lot too and I will leave that to my karma. :D... Initial days, we used to target only few benches in Mission Peak...
Can you guess, how many benches are there in Mission Peak?. We have 8 benches from start to end. :)
Another mentor to call out: Mr.Harish... I luv listening to him, his advice, straight shoots, his IIT stories, statistical thoughts, and his ideas. We have been hiking for last one year now... Thank you Harish for being with us...
At the peak, we get a coffee like this.. Please see below picture... It is served in South Indian tumbler.. :)
ok... This was our 50th hike!... We couldn't believe. We did complete 50 hikes and clocking around 60+ now..
A recent one... Now days, we are consistent, disciplined, and self driven... A newbie Sai has joined us...
OK, everyone. Thank you for reading this.... :) Sharing is caring!... Sharing what I experienced in hiking and my weekend activity..
Hiking is really good, and it brings discipline to body and mind. Have good friends to hike with, this is important. Hiking rejuvenates your body and mind.
Healthy life is wealthy life.
