Happy Pongal....

My dear social friends, brothers and sisters :)...

I trust everyone is doing well.   New year 2023 has started and it always brings little bit of energy to everyone. Let us keep this energy in all positive ways.

Today (15-JAN), we celebrate PONGAL festival. It is an important festival in South India.  It is referred to harvest festival and is dedicated to the Sun GOD.

In our farm, we have pumpkins, papaya, lemon and coconut now...

 

We give so much importance to this harvesting festival. However, the same importance has to be given to agriculture and farming. 

Tamilnadu state government gives 4 to 5 days holidays to everyone. May be worth visiting any farms, spend time with farmers in these days. :)..  Let us be with nature and truly celebrate the natural festival.

 Hi Everyone -- I trust you, family and friends are doing well.  In this blog, I am going to share little bit about my diwali weekend activity. It was a good long weekend and it helped me to plan better. Let me add some value to our environment and society during this Diwali. Ok, what is it about? Planting Palm Trees : It is called "Panai Maram" in Tamil or Palmyra palm tree as per google.. :)  Here is the fruit from palm tree in raw form, it is called "Ice Apple". These days, people make juice (i.e. Nongu sarbath) from this and it is becoming very famous. I decided to plant around 100 trees. My day started at 5.30 am. Typically all farmers get up very early and they get into farms early. :).. Farmers work hard, farming is like serving to people.  We finished all the work by 2.00 pm. ReUnion = RechargeUnion ? - It is imporant to recharge yourself...

My dear social friends, brothers and sisters ...  Vanakkam, Namaste.  This blog is about my experience at the recent reunion that we had.... Special thanks to my friends! Tesla and all devices without recharge, or with no charge - it is called as ??. Recharge is important for human too :) Group of folks having titles varying from architects, strategists, delivery heads, C and mid-level executives, consultants etc, working for various Fortune-500 companies, having a habit of meeting every year. For what purpose? It was neither about strategy and market position nor about investment and financials.   Then, why do they meet? Palm Trees Progress - Two leaves in two years.... (Panai Maram and Karupatti Kaapi)

My dear social friends, brothers and sisters ...  Vanakkam, Namaste and good day!. Last month , I visited India and I will share the latest progress and latest experiences from farm. This blog is about palm trees. Two years back, I planted around 100 palm trees. The interesting fact is that, after two years of planting and waiting, I see now two leaves. :). Not all trees survived, but many survived our last year drought. It took two years, to see some visible progress as see you below. Many trees still have just one leave as you see below. Palm Trees take longer time to grow. An average growth rate is: 3 to 10 inches per year. What does it mean: This plantation is for next generation. I am sure that, I will not get any benefits from this plantation.  But, preserving/growing this tree for next generation. It is
